Worldbuilding, waiting, and woohoo moments
Happy April!
Wow, time is flying by... so much has happened, and I’m SO excited! (Okay, I know I say that in every blog, but it’s true—haha.)
Right now, I’m not sure how much I can say, but my writing dreams are slowly coming true AND—I started a whole new series! I’m seriously beyond thrilled. It's definitely more fantasy-adventure, with way more lore and worldbuilding than I’m used to—but that’s what makes it so fun. I get to create the coolest characters and worlds. (sometimes I wish I could live in them… sigh.)
I won’t give too much away just yet, but let’s just say it includes magic, friendship, romance?? and a world that’s as beautiful as it is dangerous. Every time I sit down to write, it feels like I’m discovering something that was already waiting for me—it’s wild. These characters are already living rent-free in my head and heart <3
And honestly? It's kind of surreal to think about how far I’ve come. A year ago, I was still deep in the dreaming phase—scribbling ideas in notebooks, wondering if I’d ever get to write about it. And now… here I am. Still learning, still growing, but finally moving forward. It finally feels like the pieces are starting to click into place, and that feeling? Pure magic.
That said—writing is a slow process. Like so slow. I wish my hands could type as fast as my brain comes up with ideas! (seriously, someone invent that already)
Not every writing day is perfect. Some days I rewrite the same paragraph ten times and still don’t love it. But then there’s a moment—a line of dialogue, or a twist I didn’t see coming—and it reminds me why I’m doing this. The story wants to be told, and I feel lucky I get to be the one to tell it.
Also… side note: now that it’s finally spring, I’ve been reaching for more lighthearted reads again. Not that I was drowning in dark romance or anything (LOL), but there’s something about sunshine and warmer weather that makes me crave fun, happy books. Bring on the cozy fantasy, the soft romances, the magical bakeries and forest spirits. Yes please.
Side note #2: Keep an eye out for my next blog post—I’ve got some exciting updates on the horizon, and I can’t wait to share more!
Thank you—truly—to every single one of you who takes the time to read these posts. It means the world to me. Your support warms my heart, from the bottom to the top.
Here’s to a season of creativity, courage, and chasing what sets your soul on fire.
